I was listening to someone expound on F.W. Boreham's theory on the Heresy of Hereness, and Heresy of Thereness..Interesting concept! Apparently, Adam fits into the picture by committing the heresy of hereness.. by acting on his understanding of God being 'there' and not here ...while Cain was acting pro-theory of thereness by believing God is here, and desiring to go out of his presence and flee..
All this to say, David made a point when he said ,
"Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me."
