So why I be the only one on pause
when the opponents and the supporters whiz pass
like a train with a whistle..
if dime a dozen, I foretell a million
I hear yall telling me what I be pursuing
I instead find rewind a worthy pursuit
and dreaming away the past..
oh, how do you overwhelm a tomorrow
when a past so glorious basks in your memory..
it might just be that I be a dreamer
and gotta wait for tomorrow to pass
so that I can dream away yesterday in peace..
