I am in the middle of watching what seems to be an awesome movie when a qt popped up in my mind that seems to have baffled me for yrs now..I have always questioned and wondered but never really took it up w/ anyone..One day I wanna sit with a man that has an enlightened spirit and talk about his perspective..

My question is why Prince Amnon who was so in love, in lust and whose whole world seemed to revolve around Princess Tamar hates her once he rapes her. He was not willing to ask his father King David for her hand in marriage even when she was pleading and begging him to do the right thing. I know some may say it was not love and it was the repercussion of sin or guilt...but a simplified understanding of the story is not what I am looking for I guess.. I wanna understand the psychological underwire that knits Prince Amnon to Princess Tamar and the transfiguration of his love to hate after the deed!! I just wanted to verbalize my thoughts as it passed my mind..
